Mandate

Evaluation of the condition of the main buildings of the city of Sainte-Adèle and implementation of an intervention plan on these buildings :

  • 5 major municipal buildings audited for a total area of approximately 12,000 m2,
  • Diversified building stock including administrative buildings with particular architectural styles

Years of project completion : 2020, 2021

 

Specificities / complexity of the mandate

  • complexity of the buildings in terms of architecture (rich and varied architectural style, such as that of the citizens' square)
  • complexity of the electromechanical system of the citizens' square,

Methodology

  •  Detailed visual and/or tactile inspection was performed on the architectural, civil, electrical and mechanical components of each building.
  • Identification of deficiencies in accordance with the recommendations listed in the guide entitled "ASTM E2018-01" and the standards of practice of the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (CAHPI).
  • Preparation of individual inspection reports for each building,
  • Elaboration of an intervention plan for all the inspected buildings using the Uniformat 2 level 4 code.

Deliverables

In the form of an Excel spreadsheet that can be adapted to any software with easy data updating.

  • Individual photo inspection report for each building,
  • Inventory of the components of each building,
  • Health check of each building,
  • List of deficiencies and determination of the costs associated with the necessary interventions until 2030
  • Photo record of observed deficiencies. The photos are classified by building with a precise nomenclature approved by the city.
  • Follow-up log of interventions
  • Training of targeted personnel in the use of the intervention plan on the buildings of the city of Sainte-Adèle.
